Privacy notice
CryptoIsland is a read-only Mac app. Here is what stays on your Mac, what goes to an exchange, and what is used for licensing.
1. This website
This preview uses no analytics, advertising trackers, account registration, or payment forms. Your language preference is saved in this browser’s local storage. The interactive product illustrations use fixed example data; they do not connect to your exchange accounts.
This website is hosted on a BandwagonHost VPS. Hosting services may process ordinary request metadata, such as IP address, browser information, and requested URLs. Applicable retention rules will be disclosed before the public app release.
2. Markets and account connections
The app requests public prices directly from the selected exchange. Optional account monitoring sends read-only API authentication directly from your Mac to OKX or Binance. Watching Hyperliquid sends the public account address to Hyperliquid’s data API. Exchanges process those requests under their own policies.
Exchange credentials stay on your Mac and are not sent to this website or the license service. CryptoIsland does not place orders, move funds, or request wallet signatures. Do not submit API keys, API secrets, passphrases, or wallet recovery phrases through this website.
3. Local settings and reminder history
Watchlists, display preferences, and reminder settings are stored locally. Reminder history is kept in memory by default. If you enable saved history, it is stored locally without encryption and may contain account or position details. Privacy mode hides sensitive values on screen; it does not encrypt saved files.
4. License activation
The licensing integration uses a separate Keygen service. Activation and validation can send your license key, a product-specific hashed device identifier, device name, platform, and necessary license fields. The raw hardware UUID is not sent. A hashed identifier is not the same as anonymous data.
Exchange API keys, balances, market watchlists, and positions are not sent to the license service. A separate production licensing service is deployed; the public Mac release and paid delivery are not open yet.
5. Your controls
You can disconnect an account, revoke its API key at the exchange, clear local reminder history, or remove the language preference from your browser. Disconnecting or uninstalling the app does not itself revoke an exchange API key. Device deactivation requires confirmation from the license service; removing only a local record does not release a server-side device slot.
6. Before public release
Any future checkout, support form, telemetry, or new data processing will need an updated notice identifying its purpose and providers. Public contact details and a process for privacy requests will be published before release. For current product limitations, see the FAQ and pre-release terms.
